Howard J. Walton

Howard J. Walton age 94 of Toledo passed away Saturday May 8, 2010 in his home. He was born September 27, 1915 Toledo to Arthur and Lavina Walton. In his earlier years, he managed a Kroger store and then worked as a bakery salesman for the former Erie Thomas Pie Company and then Farmcrest from where retired in 1978. After retirement he and Maxine wintered in Florida for 20 years. He enjoyed walking, tending to his yard, visiting with family and friends with lots of conversation, and playing cards. He was always ready to give a helping hand and a smile to everyone. Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine and brothers and sisters. He is survived by daughter Anita John Bodner; sons John Carolyn, Bill, and Ron Jan Walton; grandchildren Bob and Bill Walton, Shelly Walton, Sarah Pace, Anita Brandman, Cindy Sandford and Jennifer Walton; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may visit the family at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey on Thursday from 2-8 PM where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 AM.
