Howard K. Thompson, 70, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on April 16, 2023. He was born in Toledo on December 11, 1952, to his late parents, Howard L. and Violet (Adkins) Thompson. He attended Libbey High School before leaving early to join the Marine Corps, where he shortly after graduated and then studied to obtain the skills to become a project engineer. After serving in the Marines for six years, Howard worked until present as a project engineer at Rem-Tech International. There he was an extremely hard worker and was fortunate enough to travel all around the world with his work. On November 13, 1982, Howard married his dear wife, Linda (Wilson) Thompson, having two children together and building a family.
Just next to being a father, being a Marine meant everything to Howard. He was a Marine to the end, living his life accordingly, with the work ethic that was instilled in him being apparent throughout his whole life. He was a dedicated man and excelled in the things that he was called to do. However, in his minimal free-time, he loved going to car shows. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, and proud grandpa, who was loyal and generous to everyone.
Howard is survived by his loving wife, Linda A. Thompson; son, Bryan K. Thompson; daughter, Lisa C. Adams of Ottawa Lake, MI; beloved grandchildren, Alexis J. Adams, David (Ted) Adams; sister, Judith Price; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Thompson; brother-in-law, James Price; son-in-law, David Adams.
A Celebration of Life will take place in the Chapel of Peace at Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe St., Sylvania, OH, on Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 12-12:45p.m. A procession to the graveside will immediately follow where military honors will be rendered at 1 p.m. “A Marine never dies, he just fades away”. Howard Keith Thompson will be truly missed by many.
