Howard Vernon Hurt

Howard Hurt, age 73, of Sylvania, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on July 3, 2008. He was born in Toledo to J.T. and Virginia Eppard Hurt on February 14, 1935. An Air Force Veteran, Howard served during the Korean War. He was a 29 year member of the Ironworkers Local 55. Howard was the biggest Ohio State Fan who loved to play golf and watch football. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Judith Pool Hurt; children, Doug Jeanna Hurt, Mark Karen Hurt, Sandra Don Gordon, and Rodney Reta Hurt; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother, Bobby Hurt; sisters, Yvonne Clark and Shelby Scanlan and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jackie Lee and sister, Linda Lee. There will be no visitation or services. Arrangements by Walker Funeral Home.
