Howard Nelson Graves

Howard Nelson Graves, 82, of Perrysburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. He was born on August 5, 1929 in Toledo to Bert and Ethel Luce Graves. On November 18, 1950 he married the former Sharon Powell. Howard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be greatly missed by all.Howard was a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker, where he worked at Peter Stamping and the Mather Company. He was a veteran of the United States Army and the Ohio National Guard. Howard served in the 25th Infantry in WW II, and Korean Conflict and services at Fort Polk, LA. He enjoyed collecting coins, reading, being a Green Bay Packers fan, and also was a member of the Westgate Chapel in Toledo. Howard is survived by his wife Sharon, son, Howard Janis, daughter-in-law, Lisa, grandchildren, Stefany, Barak, and Libby, 5 great grandchildren, sister Carol Jean, and sister-in-law, Beverly Paiva. He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Graves, and brothers, Bert, John, and Gary. Visitation for Howard will be on Saturday July 21, 2012 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Maumee, Ohio where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private. A recepetion will follow after interment at Westgate Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to the WestGate Chapel in Toledo, Ohio.
