Homer H. Breault

November 28, 1916 — October 5, 2011

Homer H. Breault passed away peacefully from his earthly home to his heavenly home into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Hospice of Northwest Ohio has given him compassionate at-home care since early July. He was born November 28, 1916 in Cohoes, NY. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY with a Bachelors Degree in Metallurgical Engineering and studied Advance Physical Metallurgy at Carnegie Tech. He has many patents to his credit as his career included General Electric, Sunbeam, Ipsen Industries and he retired from Surface Combustion in 1986. He served in the 10th Infantry Division in Europe during WWII. Homer married Ruth Clarke in 1945 and together they raised six children, Michael Marie Breault, Sandra Breault, Bruce Linda Breault, Kathleen Breault, David Breault and Mary Jo Breault, all survive him. He is also survived by grandchildren Eric Darcy Breault, Therese Breault, Jon Albain and Stephanie Don Morton. His great-grandchildren are Joseph Breault, Amber Breault-Albain, Kylee and Samantha Morton, Christopher Albain and CJ Albain. Christian Albain is his great-great grandson. Homers younger sister Lucille survives him as well. He was preceded in death by Ruth his wife of 35 years, his parents, Beatrice and Albert, three sisters, one brother and grandson, Jeff Breault. Homer and Barbara Foreman met in 1989 and married in 1994. They had 17 years together. She also survives him. Homer was a member of the American Society of Metals, the Elks Club, and St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Maumee. He also delivered Mobile Meals in Maumee and Perrysburg for 10 years. Homer was a man of prayer. He lived a full and accomplished life, was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him. Family and friends may visit at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant, Maumee on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 3-8 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 10:00 am at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 112 E. Wayne Street, Maumee. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Pauls Lutheran Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The family would like to thank ALL the staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their responsiveness, understanding, and comfort care of Homer with special appreciation to Nurses, Maureen, Jackie and Jessica and Nurse Assistant Tiffany.
