Hilaria G. Reyes

Hilaria G. Reyes, 84, of Perrysburg, died Monday, March 27, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Realitos, Texas on January 14, 1933 to Santiago, Sr. and Octavia (Jaramillo) Garza. She married Carlos M. Reyes in Toledo, Ohio on April 26, 1958 and he preceded her in death on August 11, 2004. Hilaria loved being outdoors working in her garden, and was a longtime member of St. Rose Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving children, Mary (Carl) Johnson, Carlos Reyes, Jr., Samuel Reyes, Lewis Reyes, Andrew Reyes; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Jesus Garza, Santiago Garza, Jr., Ray Garza and Elisa Hutchinson. Along with her husband, Hilaria was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Eloy Garza, Sr. and sisters, Umbelina Villarreal, Juanita Garza and Maria Montelongo and great-granddaughter, Miriah Tatkowski. Friends will be received on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where a Rosary Service will take place at 7:00 P.M. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 9:15 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E. Front Street, Perrysburg at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in Hilaria’s name may be made to the St. Rose Catholic Church.
