Herman L. Guthrie, 82, of Oregon died Wednesday morning, January 25, 2017, at his residence. He was born December 1, 1934, in Elkmont, Alabama, to Issac and Mary (Furline) Guthrie. His wife, Hazel M. (Allison) Guthrie preceded him in death May 6, 2007. They were married in Pulaski, Tennessee, on June 5, 1979. Herman was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, football and collecting antique cars. Herman is survived by his step daughter, Deborah LeDuc of Merritt Island, FL, grandchildren, Melissa, William, Jeffery, Rebecca, Christopher and Sarah and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Bobby Guthrie of Williston, Lois Johns, Gary Guthrie and Leo Guthrie, all of Pulaski, TN, and his companion, Lois Patterson or Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and siblings, Lola Adams, Mary Suta, Betty Dawes, Maggie Deibert, Lucille Coffman, and Jesse, Jim Ike, and David Guthrie. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Monday, January 30, 2017, at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, with a graveside service to follow in Allen Township Cemetery, Williston, at 1:00 p.m. Memorials for Herman may be given to the family.
