Henry C Laplante, Sr.

HENRY LaPLANTE SR. Henry LaPlante Sr. age 81, of Lake Township, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg. He was born on November 17, 1931, in Toledo to Louis and Sarah (Parker) LaPlante. Henry was employed as a Master Craftsman for Lloyd Brothers Monuments retiring after 46 years. On May 5, 1956, he married the love of his life Norma J. Tober. He was a member of DADS Northwood VFW#2984. Henry is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Norma; sons, Henry (Laura) LaPlante, Michael (Valerie) LaPlante, and Christopher (Ann) LaPlante; daughter, Maria LaPlante; grandchildren, Justen, Emmalie, Jennifer, Louis, Sarah, and Katie; siblings, Helen Yglesias, Laura (Bill) Poiry, Louise Halas, Eva (Bill) Huntzinger, Francis, Louis, James, and Jerry LaPlante. He was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings. Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 from 2-8pm in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 701 N. Main St. Walbridge (419-666-3121) where funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Allen Township Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
