Henry Rudolph Krukemyer, 91, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away on July 31, 2024, at Genoa Retirement Village. He was born on August 18, 1932, in Williston, Ohio, to Henry and Leona (Hoellrich) Krukemyer.
Henry graduated from Clay-Genoa High School in 1950 and earned an Associate Degree in Industrial Science from the University of Toledo Junior College in 1959. He served as a Fire Control Technician 2nd Class in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1956 and was honorably discharged in 1960. Henry worked in mold design at Owens-Illinois. He retired as a Senior Specification Analyst after 32 years.
He was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Williston, where he served as a Deacon for many years. Henry enjoyed cooking, particularly grilling chicken and making pasta. He also liked fishing, reading, and playing euchre with his family.
Henry is survived by his daughter, Connie (Bill) Burden; son, Todd (Amy) Krukemyer; grandchildren, Jennifer (Nick) Almroth and Mackenzie Krukemyer; and his sister, Carolyn Grimme. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Carrol Krukemyer, and his parents.
Per Henry’s wishes, services will be private.
