Henrietta Jeffers

Henrietta Jeffers, 90, of Oak Harbor, died Wednesday, October 31, 2007, in Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. Henrietta was born November 2, 1916, in Harriman, TN, to Dillard and Julia Human Newport. On May 13, 1936, in Sterns, KY, she married Edward G. Jeffers, who preceded her in death on September 7, 2001. Henrietta was a homemaker. She was a blue ribbon quilter and enjoyed other needle crafts as well as flower gardening and cooking. Coming from a close-knit family, she cherished the time that she was able to spend with her brothers and sisters who lived near and far as well the time she could spend with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Edwina Rick Charlton of Liverpool, NY, two grandchildren: Stacy Mary Charlton and Heather Charlton; sisters: Lowanna Domokos, of Lake Havasu City, AZ, and Palmela Arthur Carlin, of Lennon, MI; brothers, Morgan Clarissa Newport and Dillard
