Henrietta “Henri” M. Gedert, 94, of Toledo, passed away in her home on Friday, January 10th, 2025. She was born in London, Ohio to Henry and Mildred (Donahue) Boyer on May 28th, 1930. Henrietta graduated from Sylvania Burnham High School and worked many years as a registered nurse at Flower and Mercy hospitals. She married her love, Donald Gedert, on November 14, 1953. The two celebrated 68 wonderful years together with five children before Donald’s passing. Henrietta was a proud and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She continuously doted on her family and spent her time enjoying travel, outings, life-events, sporting events, shows and more. Henrietta was kind, loving and had a sharp wit and sense of humor. Her family’s beloved trait was Henri’s orneriness. She enjoyed gardening and was thrilled with each season’s yield. Henri loved to go out for a meal with her favorites being soup, pretzel & bread sticks and various dips. Plus, her guilty pleasure, chocolate. Game Show Network was a popular TV watch along with Law and Order. Henrietta had a special place in her Irish-Catholic heart for Notre Dame Football, as well.
Continuing to celebrate her memory are her children, Timothy (Teena) Gedert, son-in-law, Douglas Chrismer, Carol Gedert, Christopher (Cynthia) Gedert, Mark (Julie) Gedert; grandchildren, Katie, Sarah (Aaron) Meller, Emily (Jim) Baumgartner, Joshua, Andrew, Alexander; great-grandchildren, Amelia and Savannah Meller.
