Henrietta Cooper

Henrietta Louise Simon Cooper, age 92, passed away Friday, October 5, 2007 at Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek. She was born in New York City on April 19, 1915, to Edward and Marie Anna Rudeau Simon. Henrietta attended the University of Toledo and worked for Reliance Electric and Engineering as an executive secretary for twenty-two years retiring in 1974. She married Richard A. Cooper on May 29, 1936, he passed away in 2000. For years they wintered in Florida in the Homestead and Sebring areas. She was an avid card player especially bridge and was also an accomplished artist. Henrietta had a great sense of humor and was a joy to be around. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and her church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help and was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and the Daughters of Isabella. She is preceded in death by her husband; two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., west of Corey Rd.. Mass of the Resurrection will be at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 2255 Central Grove Ave., at 10 a.m. on Monday, followed by entombment at Resurrection Cemetery. Tributes may be made Hospice of Northwest Ohio or charity of donors choice.
