Helena Schramko, age 92, passed away Monday April 12, 2010 at Kingston Residence of Sylvania. The daughter of Nicholas and Helena Ballow, she was born October 9, 1917 in Johnstown, PA. Helena was a member of Christ the King Church before moving to Florida in 1970 with her husband, Thomas. They enjoyed nearly 20 years there, making many dear friends before she moved back five years ago. Upon returning to Toledo she became a member of Corpus Christi University Parish. She collected dolls and loved to go to garage sales. Helena was the ultimate homemaker, never working outside the home she dedicated herself to caring for her family. She loved her family tirelessly, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who brought her much joy. She is survived by her children, Delores Bob Lewandowski, Dr. Thomas Deborah Schramko, Gerald Lilly Schramko; four grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and brothers, Alex and Joseph Maggie Ballow. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday from 5-7 PM at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd.
