Helena Chudy, 87, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away peacefully, Friday, November 16, 2007 at her residence. Helena was born in Dickson City, PA, on July 30, 1920, the daughter of Jan and Maria Bieszczad Lesniak. She married Jozef Chudy in1940 and he preceded her in death on June 21, 2006. Helena was a homemaker. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton. Helena loved nature, gardening and baking. She especially loved her grandchildren and doing anything she could for her own children. Helena was very unselfish, always putting herself last and doing for others and her family. Helena will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Sons: Edward Christine Chudy of Spring, TX, John Donna Chudy of Port Clinton, OH and Thaddeus Chudy of Sandusky, OH; Daughters: Mary Ray Rust and Christina Ed Martinez, both of Port Clinton, OH; 13 Grandchildren; 8 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great Grandsons and Brother: Kazmir Lesniak. Helena was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband: Jozef, brother: Antoni, sisters: Jenka Cazmira. Visitation will be from 6-8PM, Monday, November 19, 2007 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, Port Clinton, OH. A prayer service will be conducted at 9:30AM, Tuesday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted by Father John C. Missler at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 20, 2007 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, OH. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. The family suggests memorial contributions in memory of Helena be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or Stein Hospice.
