Helen J. Wisniewski

Helen J. Wisniewski, 76, of Sylvania, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, January 15, 2012 at the Ebeid Hospice Residence surrounded by loving family. Born October 25, 1935 in Toledo to the late John and Stella Lewandowski Korpik, she married Eugene J. Wisniewski on September 11, 1954 and he preceded her in death on May 20, 1997. Her brother, David Korpik, is also deceased. A graduate of Toledo Woodward High School, Helen was a homemaker when her children were young. She was later employed with Bargain City/Rinks and then for several years with Medical Mutual of Ohio before retirement. She was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church and had been attending St. Pius X for the past few years with her daughters. In her free time, Helen enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, being outdoors and doing puzzles. She will be lovingly remembered for her selfless and giving nature, always placing the needs of others before her own. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jennifer Mark Cisek, Sharon Fred Kujawa and Gino Wisniewski; her granchildren who affectionately knew her Busia, Patrick, Stephanie, Jake, Rachel and Tyler; brother, John Pam Korpik; and sisters, Marcy Paul Pushka and Theresa Steven Baird. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 17 from 2-8 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. where scripture services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday, January 18 with prayers at 9:50 a.m. and proceed to St. Pius X Church for Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Committal will be private. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Ebeid Hospice Residence, 5800 Harroun Road, Sylvania, OH 43560. Never make a permanent issue out of a temporary situation.
