Helen Louise Walls

Helen Louise Walls, 89, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born on December 07, 1922 in Ashville, OH, the daughter of Elijah and Cloe Graves Matthews. On April 08, 1942, she married Roy C. Walls and he preceded her in death on December 23, 1984. Helen worked as a cook for the Peninsula Resturant for over 10 years and Toussaint Tavern for 8 years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, OH. Helen loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved reading suspense novels and all books, watching her favorite programs and playing the lottery. Helen will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Children: Leona Till, Roy Joyce Walls, Lori Walls and Wendy Jeff Lantz; Grandchildren: Randy Adkins, Brian Till, Kevin Till, Michael Till, Ryan Gray, Alyssa Catri, Roy Findley, Benieta Findley and Brittany Findley; Great-Grandchildren: Matt Adkins, Perrin Adkins, Michael Adkins, Brianna Till, Kayla Till and Amber Hawksley; Great-Great-Grandchildren: Isabelle, Aubree and Reese. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers: Homer Matthews, Ted Matthews and Bill Matthews, sister: Elsie Murru. Visitation will be 5-8PM, Tuesday, August 21, 2012 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Daniel Keck at 11:00AM, Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in the funeral home. Memorial donations in memory of Helen may be given to the family.
