Helen Charlotte Mary Veler

Helen Charlotte Mary Veler 88 of Oak Harbor, Ohio died peacefully Monday morning at home with her family.  She was born in Rossford, Ohio to Joseph and Charlotte Rogowski. She married James W. Veler on Aug. 18, 1951, in Rossford, Ohio. They had two children Timothy and Jacqueline. Helen was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family, gardening, birdwatching, watching sporting events and serving wherever she could be a help.  She also enjoyed fishing with her husband. Surviving are her Son Timothy J. (Lani) Veler of Dallas, TX, their children Ben, Caleb, Joshua, Jesse, John, Abi, Joseph, Kesia, Mary, Sarah and Elisha, her Daughter Jacqueline M. (Sean) Veler of Oak Harbor, their children Piper and Roman and her Brother Stan Rogowski of Dublin, Ohio.  Preceding her in death were her husband James; Brothers, Joseph, Bernard, and Paul Rogowski, and her sister Elaine Shackelford. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, February 12, 2020 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Tim Ferris at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 13, 2020 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor where the body will lie in state from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the services.  Burial will follow in Elliston Cemetery, Elliston, OH.  Memorial contributions may be given to St. Boniface Catholic School.  To send online condolences, please visit: www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
