Helen Marie Steffan

Helen Marie (Folkvord) Steffan, 83, of Perrysburg, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. She was born July 4, 1935 in Sidney, Montanta. She married Leonard Steffan on August 4, 1956 in Sidney, Montana and he preceded her in death on April 18, 2010. She earned her Master’s degree from Bowling Green State University in Education. She worked as a teacher for Maumee Public Schools for 20 years. Helen was a member of Shepherd of The Valley Lutheran Church and enjoyed quilting, sewing and cooking. Helen is survived by her children, Grant (Amy) Steffan, Tracy (Carl) Brosten and Heidi (Robbie) Reisman; grandchildren, Cory (Tara) Kaczor, Michael Eoute, Zachary (Shannon) Eoute, Jamie (Cory) Dean, Olivia (Matt) Gomez, Jacob Eoute, Justin Reisman, Tanner Reisman, Jordan Brosten, Parker Reisman, Spencer Reisman and Helen Steffan and sister, Arline Quilling. Along with her husband, Helen was preceded in death by her parents. Friends will be received Friday, July 20, 2018 from 5-8 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133). A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11 A.M. at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 13101 Five Point Road, Perrysburg, OH 43551 with Pastor Rev. John M. Rutz., officiating.
