Helen M. Stagg

Stagg Helen Marie Helen Marie Stagg went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 26 at the home of her daughter in Lambertville, MI. She was born on September 24, 1913 to Fred and Ardinelle Corbett. On June 21, 1937 she married Frank Stagg, who preceded her in death in 2001. They were married for 64 years. Together they were active in Gideons International for many years. Helen Marie began attending Redeemer Lutheran Church at the age of eight and served the Lord faithfully there in many capacities until the age of 95. A quiet, gentle lady of deep faith, Helen had a heart for serving others. She always saw the best in everyone and was truly an inspiration to all who knew her. The heart of the family, she most cherished the special times spent with her children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Dr. Richard Linda Stagg of Dillsburg, PA, James Patsy Stagg of Houston, TX, Carol Bill Regnier of Lambertville, MI, Susan Dave Dernlan of Ashland, OH; grandchildren Kathy Ward, Karen Taber, Kristen Stagg, Bradley Stagg, Jill Leach, Amy Breaux, Michael Regnier, Lori Winters, Jeff, Steve, Matt and Tim Dernlan; 25 great grandchildren; sister Mary Gensler and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters and daughter-in-law Carol Stagg. The family would like to thank Dr. Kris Kostrzewski for many years of outstanding care and a special thank you to Jane, Diane and Michael of Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their compassionate care and comfort during Moms last months. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2 to 9 pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Avenue where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM. Interment will be at Toledo Memorial Park.
