Helen Somers

Helen Somers, 91, a longtime resident of Toledo, died December 14, 2013, at Elizabeth Scott Care Center, Maumee. Born March 27, 1922, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Helen married Anthony Wayne Somers on July 7, 1947, and he died in 1999. One daughter, Chris Henderson, also preceded her in death. Mrs. Somers was homemaker, who was devoted to her husband, her girls and her grandchildren. She is lovingly survived by daughters, Patty Bill Reed and Toni Somers; son-in-law, John Henderson; grandchildren, David Jennifer Reed, Matthew Meghan Reed, Carrie Justin Donaldson, Jon and Nick Henderson; great-grandchildren, Erin, Addie, Anna, Ben and Christian. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, from 5-8 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd.. Burial will be private. Memorials are suggested to the Chris A.
