Helen V. Serafin

Helen V. Serafin, a longtime resident of Maumee died Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg at the age of 87. She resided at Heatherdowns Rehabilitation and Care Center for the last 8 years. Helen was born in Toledo, June 1, 1924 to Felix and Leocadia Serafin. She was a graduate of Maumee High School, class of 1942 and was employed in the Personnel Office for the Department of Defense for 34 years. Helen enjoyed gardening, cooking and walking. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Lucille and Irene and brother, Edward. Family and friends may visit Tuesday, June 7, 2011 from 5- 8 pm in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee where funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2011 at 10:00 am.
