Helen Rose Weis Puhl

Helen Rose Weis Puhl age 81 of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born in Maumee, OH on October 18, 1934 to Leo and Clara (Kleeberger) Weis. She married Richard F. Puhl on May 15, 1954. They celebrated 49 years together until his death on August 14, 2003. Helen was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and its Rosary and Altar Society and the Ladies Auxiliary with the National Association of Letter Carriers. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; camping, traveling and crocheting. Surviving are her children, Christina (David) Swiatek, Peggy (Ogie) Miller, Richard (Debra) Puhl, Maria (Brian) Hersch, Beth (Dan) Kervin and Todd (Scott Walker) Puhl; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers, Bernard (Pat), Willard (Jan) and John (Sue) Weis; and sister, Margaret (Bob) Ponton. In addition to her husband and parents, Helen was preceded in death by her twin daughters, Denise and Dawn; son, Frank; granddaughter, Erin; great-granddaughter, Addison; brothers, Leo and Ray and sister, Mary. Family and friends may visit at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Monday, August 29, 2016 from 3-8 PM with the Rosary recited at 7:00 PM. Prayers will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 10:00 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at St. Rose Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
