Helen M. Phillips

Helen M. Phillips, 89, of Maumee, passed away on Saturday January 19, 2013 at St. Lukes Hospital. She was born on October 16, 1923 in Rossford, Ohio to George and Flossie Gruber Edwards. Helen married James L. Phillips in 1948, and he preceded her in death in 2011. She worked at the former Canteen Vending Company and was later a secretary for Allstate Insurance Company for 21 years, retiring in 1970. Helen was a member of the Maumee Elks, St. Lukes Auxiliary and enjoyed camping, golf, bowling, playing cards, reading, crossword puzzles, couponing and crafts . Helen is survived by her children, daughter, Deborah Ron Wilson, sons, Kenneth Barbara, James, and Terrence Phillips, granddaughters, Lyndsi, Jamie, Tiffany, Nicole, Kimberly Josh and Samantha, great grandchildren, Addison, Makayla, and Phoebe, sisters, Hazel Edwards, and Dorothy Thomas Stock. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, great grandson, Brayden Moon, brothers, Charles and Burt, and sisters, Velma Luebcke and Glennah Edwards. Visitation for Helen will be on Thursday January 24, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Maumee, Ohio. Funeral services will be on Friday January 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
