McCROSKY Helen Margaret Helen M. McCrosky, age 88, died on Friday, February 6, 2009 at Lake Park Comfort Care in Sylvania. Helen was born April 20, 1920 in Pittsburgh, PA to Stephen and Frances Koogan. She married Albert McCrosky in 1942 and celebrated 56 years of marriage before his death in 1998. Helen was a quiet, giving person who had a talent for knitting. She enjoyed sharing her talent by making chemo caps for chemotherapy patients and making various items for the Friendly Center. Helen was also an avid baseball fan and especially enjoyed cheering on the Detroit Tigers. Helen is survived by her children, Kathy Gary Loeffler of Maumee, and Thomas Terri McCrosky of Genoa; grandchildren, Kevin Loeffler, Steve Beth Loeffler, and David McCrosky; great-grandchild, Taylor Loeffler; sister, Mary Ann Snyder; and brother, William Marlene Koogan. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Mildred Rex and Dorothy Hoffman; and brother, Robert Koogan. Helens family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Jeanine Huttner and the staff at Lake Park Comfort Care for the exceptional care they provided for her. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 from 7-9:00pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. with a Prayer Service at 7:30pm. Funeral services will begin Wednesday at 10:15am with prayers at the funeral home followed by an 11:00am Funeral Mass at Corpus Christi University Parish, 2955 Dorr St. Toledo, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Corpus Christi University Parish, Little Sisters of the Poor, or the charity of the donors choice.
