Helen M. Malone

Helen M. Malone, 88, of Woodville, Ohio, passed away on November 18, 2015 in Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. She was born in Fremont, Ohio on July 5, 1927 to David A. and Ava M. (Schorendorff) Hammer. Helen married Grover C. Malone on September 7, 1950 in Angola, Indiana. He preceded her in death in January of 2000. Helen had worked as a drill operator for Atlas Corp. of Gibsonburg, Ohio for 21 years, retiring in 1989. She attended St. Michaels Catholic Church in Gibsonburg for many years. She loved spending time with her family, fishing, gardening and taking trips to the Goodwill store. Helen is survived by her children, David (Lilly) Malone, Noah Malone, Robert Malone, Sandra Estrada, Barbara Malone, and Darlene (Dan) Johnson, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Her parents, husband, Grover, and grandson, Daniel Johnson preceded her in death. It was Helens wishes that any service be private. She will be buried next to her husband, Grover, in the Westwood Cemetery, Woodville, Ohio. The family has suggested memorials to the Humane Society of Sandusky County, 2520 Port Clinton Rd., Fremont, OH 43420.
