Helen Linger

Helen Linger, 89, a lifelong resident of Catawba Island, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH. She was born on July 18, 1920. Helen served the Catawba Child Conservation League for over fifty years. Her beautiful gardens occupied her days. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, daughter Kay Malik and son in law Ron Malik. Helen is survived by her daughters, Barbara Berkebile of Pittsburgh, PA, Debra Neblo of Onsted, MI, nine grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. The family will miss Granny and her famous deviled eggs. A celebration of Helens Life is planned for July 2010 at her home on Catawba Island. Memorial contributions in memory of Helen may be given to Stein Hospice of Sandusky, OH or the Catawba Island Volunteer Fire Department. Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory assisted the family with arrangements.
