Helen F. Joseph

Helen Freda Joseph passed away Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Toledo Hospital. She was born on Aug. 27, 1918, in Lowell, MA to parents, George and Freda Namay. She attended Tewksbury State Hospital School of Nursing, where she received her R.N. degree. She was a member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Christian Cathedral and the Ladies Benevolent Society, where she graciously volunteered on a regular basis. She was a devoted wife and mother and her family was always the focus of her life. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and entertaining in her home. She will be sadly missed by her son, Richard O. Joseph, Jr.; sister, Rose Howard; sisters-in-law, Doris Joseph & Corrine Joseph; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Richard O. Joseph, Sr.; parents; brothers Dr. N. Richard Namay, Lionel Namay; and sister Jennie Farris. Visitation will be Wednesday 2-5 PM and 6-9 PM with Trisagion Prayers at 8:30 PM at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Christian Cathedral, 3754 Woodley Rd., Toledo, OH 43606. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given in Helens memory to the Sunday School at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Christian Cathedral . Richard would like to thank Helens caregivers Jessica Aldrich and Shirley Simmons, nephews, Dr. Timothy Quinn, Dr. Robert DiSalle, special friend, Dr. Joseph Dodd as well as the staff at Kingston Care Center of Sylvania, and the team at 17 East at Toledo Hospital for all their wonderful care.
