Helen W Jones-Bateman

Helen W. (Layman) Jones-Bateman, 86, of Perrysburg, Ohio died Saturday, May 4, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born on September 11, 1926 in Wauseon, Ohio to Albert and Opal (Ousterhaut) Layman. She married her second husband B.W. (Bob) Jones-Bateman in Perrysburg, OH on April 11, 1966. Helen was a devoted member of Perrysburg Community Church (Bridgeway) of the Nazarene. She worked hard as a secretary for Yoder and Frey. She enjoyed flowers, birds and traveling the country with her husband building churches. What Helen loved most in life was spending time with her family. Helen is survived by her children, Marlene Miller, Linda (Terry) Boltz, Robert (Carolyn) Jones-Bateman and Ann (Jane Cummings) Moore,; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Roszella Gaff and Hank. She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Stanley Brunner; second husband, B.W. (Bob) Jones-Bateman; son, Bobby Dale Brunner; sister, Leona (Lawrence) Pike; brothers, Herthal (Alice) Layman and Ralph (Audrey) Layman; and son-in-law, Roger Miller. Friends and family will be received from 2:00 PM-8:00 PM on Thursday, May 9 in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, OH. 43551, (419-874-3133). Funeral services will begin on Friday, May 10 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Delta, OH.
