She volunteered in various capacities at the church as well, including as an office worker and as a driver for members needing rides to Sunday worship. She also volunteered for Mobile Meals. Helen was a past member of the Heather Downs Country Club where she enjoyed playing golf, cross-country skiing and bridge club. Her hobbies also included gardening and she was a member of several bowling leagues over the years at the Timbers and Southwyck Lanes. Her greatest joy in her later years came from her grandchildren and her travels. She was a regular at the grandkids’ track meets and hockey, soccer, baseball, softball basketball and Lacrosse games. She also traveled with her daughter Mary to New England, California, and Colorado, and with her late husband Robert to Alaska and Hawaii. In addition to her parents and her husband, Helen was preceded in death by her beloved brother William this past December.
