Helen A. Betty Hahn

Helen A. “Betty” Hahn, age 93, of Walbridge, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 at the Manor of Perrysburg. Betty was born on March 24, 1923 to Rush Mahlon and Vesta (Thomas) Mahlon in Grampian, Pennsylvania. She married her loving husband, Lewis Hahn, Jr. on October 17, 1940 in Akron and he preceded her in death. Betty was a cook and waitress at the Beanery Restaurant in Walbridge, and a member of Mainstreet Church. Left to cherish Betty’s memory are her daughters, Kathleen Rowe, Jeanette (Rick) Gabel-Roe and Audrey (Robert) Anderson; son, Roy (Judy) Hahn; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and siblings, Ralph (Doris) Mahlon and Marie Powell. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis; son, Donald Hahn, Jr., infant son, Donald Hahn and four siblings. Friends will be received at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio 43465 (419-666-3121) on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 2-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM. in the funeral home. Burial will take place following the service at Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury, Ohio. Memorial contribution may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
