Helen G. Dunbar Graham age 97, a lifelong resident of Maumee passed away on Friday July 10, 2009 at The Manor at Perrysburg. Helen grew up and worked on the Graham family farm on Salisbury Road until she married in 1933 and moved to town. She always had a special place in her heart for the farm. Helen was born in Maumee, OH on February 23, 1912 to Roy E. and Gertrude Moore Graham Sr. and had 8 brothers and sisters. Helen enjoyed attending and volunteering at the Maumee Senior Center for many years. She also enjoyed working in her yard and crocheting in the evening. She is survived by her loving daughters, Carolyn Sue Lyle Fischer and Nancy Jean Hawkins; grandchildren, Jenny Harry Barlos, Brian Andrea Fischer, Brenda Al Duquette, Martha James Guyton and Christine Hawkins; 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Arthur Graham; sisters, Alice Kille and Mildred Victor Gressler. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Roy A. Dunbar in 1988; sisters, Ruth Spreng, Edith Spencer, Grace Wilder; brothers, Roy Graham Jr., Robert Graham and son-in-law, Lionel Hawkins. A graveside service will be held on Saturday July 18, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Riverside Cemetery, Maumee. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
