Helen V. Clark, 97, of Genoa, Ohio, died Saturday, April 7, 2012, in Heartland of Oregon, Oregon, Ohio. Helen was born December 13, 1914, in Toledo, Ohio, to Stanley and Valeria Maciejewski Cyranowski. On October 30, 1946 in Toledo she married William F. Clark, who preceded her in death April 28, 1993. Helen graduated from Woodward High School and the Mercy School of Nursing, Class of 1936. She worked as a registered nurse at the former Riverside Hospital and retired from St. Charles Hospital in Oregon in 1979. Helen was a veteran of the U.S. Army Nurses Corps, serving in WWII with the 238th General Hospital in France and Belgium. She had been an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Genoa and served on the Rosary Altar Society and helped on many other committees of the church. Her survivors include her daughter, Nancy Norval Kopp of Genoa, grandchild. Kristy Nick Zieroff of Oregon, great grandchild, Nick Zieroff, Jr. and several nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Mary Ann Clark-Gilreath, and brothers, Bill and Stanley Cyranowski. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2012, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 204 Main St., Genoa, with interment to follow in Clay Township Cemetery. The family has suggested memorials for Helen to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church or Heartland Hospice, 3450 W. Central Ave. Suite 230, Toledo, OH 43606.
