Helen T. Bihn

Helen Therese Bihn, age 84, of Maumee, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. She was born on January 23, 1937, to Arthur and Mary McCormick in Toledo, Ohio. Helen graduated from Central Catholic High School. She married the love of her life, Raymond Bihn and they were together for over 60 years until his passing in 2019. They wintered over 20 years in Bonita Florida at Citrus Park. While home in Ohio they were often seen in the region with their Polka Dancing family following their favorite Polka bands. She loved playing cards and was an avid Bridge and Pinochle player. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother that loved her family very much and was always there for any of us; she taught us how to live until the end even while battling cancer. She was especially close with her sister Peggy where they spent nearly every evening together sharing their day over a Manhattan. Helen is survived by her children, Ray (Diane) Bihn, Dan (Patti) Bihn, Cindi (Mark) Gumpf, Paula (Doug) Stenske; grandchildren, Mackenzie and Sydney Bihn; Danny, Andy and Jess Bihn; Jeff Campey; Jarrett, Ana and Austin Cunningham; Josh, Brock and Tyler Gumpf and Joe and Jim Stenske; sister, Peg Pilaczynski; in-laws, Patty McCormick, Gene (Amy) Bihn, Larry Bihn, Rita Bates, Norma Cuprack, Ann (Warren) Keller, Carolyn (Ron) Bosse, Judy Bihn, Jean Bihn, Mary Ann Bihn; along with numerous nieces, nephews. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; siblings, Art (Skip) McCormick, Mary (John) Jasinski, Pat Hanthorn, Tom McCormick, Ray McCormick, Mike McCormick. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 2-8 P.M. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg (419-874-3133). Visitation will continue Friday, July 9, 2021 from 9-10 A.M. at St. John XXIII, 24250 Dixie Hwy, Perrysburg, OH 43551, with a funeral mass beginning at 10 A.M.
