Heidy Maria Burdine, 60, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, at Majestic Care of Clyde.
Heidy was born on August 8, 1965, in Port Clinton, Ohio, to Elba and Waltraud Maria (Bendel) Neff. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Chris Neff.
On August 15, 1987, Heidy married the love of her life, Todd Burdine, who survives. Together they built the greatest joy of her life-their family. Blessed with four beautiful children, Heidy considered motherhood her greatest accomplishment and devoted her life to caring for those she loved.
Most of her life was spent as a homemaker, creating a loving home for her family. After most of her children were grown, she found a second family among her friends and coworkers while working as a cook at Wild Wings Marina, where her warm personality and caring spirit touched everyone she met.
Heidy found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved listening to music, spending time with her grandchildren, making memories with her friends and coworkers, and watching crime and court dramas. Above all, she treasured every moment with her family.
One of the happiest days of Heidy's life was becoming a grandmother. She adored her three grandchildren and cherished every opportunity to laugh, play, and make lasting memories with them.
Heidy will be remembered for her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and genuine kindness. She never met a stranger and had an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel welcome. Her positive spirit, compassionate heart, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Todd Burdine; her children, Michael Burdine, Jennifer Burdine (Chris Lawley), Matthew Burdine, and Joshua Burdine (Gabriella Spears); and her beloved grandchildren, Isabella Lawley, Colton Lawley, and Emerson Burdine.
The family of Heidy warmly invites all who knew and loved her to join them in celebrating her life. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Salem Township Hall, 11650 W. Portage River South Road, Oak Harbor, OH 43449.
Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories, honor Heidy's life, and celebrate the love and joy she brought to so many. A light luncheon and refreshments will be served.
The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Heidy's Memorial Fund to help her children with the financial responsibilities of her final expenses. Donations may be made through the provided link or given directly to the family during Heidi's Celebration of Life.
