Hazel J. Szymanski

Hazel J. Szymanski, age 82 formerly of Point Place passed away Wednesday September 1, 2010 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio Inpatient Unit, Perrysburg. She was born April 27, 1928 in Richmond, Indiana to Thomas and Odell Hopkins. She was an Admitting and Emergency Room Clerk with the former Riverside Hospital for 17 years retiring in 1985. Hazel was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary and the Riverside Hospital Past Timers. The widow of Edward E. Szymanski, she was also preceded in death by sister Claudia Young and brother Ronald Hopkins. Surviving are her daughters Judy Joe Pacer, Linda Larry Lakatos and Sandy Jim Paszczykowski; sons Paul Chris Szymanski and Ed Fran Szymanski; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister Nelma Burnard; and brother Gary Carol Hopkins. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 2-8 PM in the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave west of Corey where funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 AM with Fr. Herb Weber officiating. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Go rest now our precious one Your life in eternity has just begun.
