Hazel Louise Miller

Hazel Louise Miller, age 82, of Oak Harbor died Saturday morning, December 29, 2007, at Toledo Hospital. She was born in Temple, CA, December 7, 1925, to the late George A. and Margaret O. Erhman Hoffman. Hazel married Ralph E. Miller July 20, 1946, at Grace Brethren Church, Fremont, Ohio, and he preceded her in death October 11, 2003. She had worked at the Heinz factory but retired from Detroit Gasket in Fremont after several years. Hazel enjoyed camping and attending antique tractor shows with her husband. She was a member of Grace Community Church in Fremont, where she belonged to the Bible Study Circle. She was also a member of the farm bureau and a card club. Hazel is survived by her children, Barbara J. Gary D. Finke, Ronald L. Michele Miller of Oak Harbor and Randall L. Miller of Port Clinton; grandchildren, Elizabeth Peter Nestinger of Columbus, OH, Samantha Miller of Columbus, GA, Sheldon Miller and R. Jay Finke of Oak Harbor, and two great grandsons; brothers, Gerald Hoffman of Fremont and Art Hoffman of Graytown, and sister, Frances Northcutt of TN. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ralph E., daughter, Brenda Miller, brothers, Ivan and Herb Hoffman, and sister, Elizabeth Boonie. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2008 in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 4, 2008 in Grace Community Church, Fremont, with interment to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Fremont. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Ottawa County Transportation Agency OCTA, 275 N. Toussaint South Rd., Oak Harbor, OH 43449, 419 898-RIDE to defray the cost of transportation for dialysis patients, St. Boniface Catholic School Endowment Fund, Oak Harbor or Grace Community Church, Fremont.
