Hazel Marian Edwards

Hazel Marian Edwards, age 94, of Maumee, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Mungen, Ohio to George and Flossie (Gruber) Edwards on April 30, 1921. Hazel worked as a stenographer for the Veterans Association and for the IRS. After retirement, she began working at Hancock Fabrics which furthered her love for crafts. Hazel was well known for her crafts and there are many fond memories while putting up her handcrafted ornaments at Christmas time. She also enjoyed photography, sewing and cross-stitch. Hazel is survived by her sister, Dorothy (Thomas) Stock and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings; Charles, Burt, Lodema, Velma, Glennah and Helen. Friends and family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 3:00 Pm until 6:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E.
