Hayden Spencer

Hayden Michael Spencer, 15, of Port Clinton, passed away surrounded by family, on Sunday, June 30, 2026 in Toledo, OH. Hayden was born on January 24, 2011 in Norwalk, OH, the son of Aaron and Carisa Spencer. Hayden was born premature at only 27 weeks developed, and lived a life of challenges and complications because of it. Born with cerebral palsy, dystonia, and legally blind; Hayden would still always find a reason to laugh and smile, and his joy was infectious to all those around him.

Hayden had just completed 8th grade at Port Clinton Middle School, where he loved his daily routine and would be upset to miss even a day. Hayden had lots of classmates and friends that he loved and a little brother that kept a watchful eye. Hayden loved listening to music (especially classical), watching SpongeBob, and enjoyed a cold can of chef boyardee. He always got a kick out of yelling his own name and saying "ouch" at friendly touches, then cracking up at himself for it. Hayden had nicknames like Cheesel and Mike, he was our goofball and his joy and energy was infectious. Hayden loved his family and carers fiercely. Along with his brother, his bonus dad was his protector and another best friend, and his mother his biggest advocate, with an entire village of cousins, aunts/uncles, grandparents, and friends behind them. Hayden will rejoin his twin sister in his final resting.

Hayden was preceded in death by his father: Aaron Michael Spencer, his twin sister: Kyla Marie Spencer, his grandmother: Shanda Trent, and his great grandparents: Beatrice and Dale Trent.

Services will be held privately for the family.
