Harry Cameron Mack, M.D.

Harry Cameron Mack, M.D., age 84, of Toledo, passed away on December 10, 2011 at Lake Park Comfort Care. He was born on January 17, 1927 at Mercy Hospital in Toledo, Ohio along with sister, Evangeline Clare Sis and brother, William Hoover Bill. The Mack Triplets graduated from Ottawa Hills High School in 1945. Harry enlisted in the Navy right out of high school. After one year at the University of Toledo, he transferred and graduated from the University of Michigan and continued and earned his medical degree from OSU. Dr. Mack practiced internal medicine in Toledo for 50 years. After retiring in 2004, he became a volunteer in the surgical waiting outpatient department at Flower Hospital. He was President of the Academy of Medicine, a member of the Inverness Country Club, The Toledo Club and St. Lucas Lutheran Church. He enjoyed golf and playing squash and working in the yard. Harry and his family enjoyed spending many summers at Wequetonsing in Harbor Springs, Michigan. Harry is survived by his loving family; wife, Carole Mack; step-daughter, Kimberly Dan Switchenko; daughter, Jennifer Robert Kasee; sons, Michael Lori Mack and son, Harry Kristan Mack Jr.; grandchildren, Nicholas, Katie, Cameron, Emily, Adam, Alexander, Ethan, Gavin and Liam; brother, William Germaine Mack; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Evangeline Hoover Mack; elder brother, James; sister, Evangeline Ann Mack-Ahlbeck-Bourdeau; and grandson, Harrison James Mack. There will be a gathering on Friday, December 23rd., from 1 to 4 pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., west of Corey Rd. with a memorial service held at 4 pm.
