Harry Thomas Long of Toledo, OH passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016. He was born on October 25, 1952 to James Long and Dorothy Leverenz in Venice, Illinois. Harry was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved watching their games every chance he got. He also loved watching Seinfeld, bowling, camping, and was a George Jones fan. Harry was a transport engineer and had the honor of being the only person in his company to win the award for driving 4.5 Million Safe Miles, an award he was very proud of. He had many jobs throughout his life including: Swann’s Ice Cream, Glass City Paper Products, Sofo, Toledo Glass and Mirror, Matlack, Liquid Carbonic, and was retired from Praxair in 2014. After retiring he loved working his seasonal jobs at Toledo Mudhen and Toledo Walleye games. Harry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim; and his beloved granddogs, Brianna and Abby. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 37 years, June Ann; children, Butch, Anthony (Jennifer), Brian (Meredith), and Dennis; grandchildren, Christian, Coral, Cara, Alicia; great grandchild, Abel; siblings, Brenda Sue (Dwight) Bryant, Ray (Christie) Long, Roberta (Robert) Sheets, Robin (Rob) Kothe, Eric Leverenz; sister in law, Judy, Long; many nieces and nephews; special sister in law, Gert and special nephew, Michael; and close family friend, Bernetta. Visitation will take place at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 2 pm to 8 pm. Visitation will continue on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 10 am until the start of the Funeral Service at 12 pm.
