Harriett Crouch

Harriet Crouch, age 75, passed away on September 8, 2023. Harriet was born in Trier, Germany in 1947, and her family came to Toledo after World War II. She spent her life in Toledo, living on Avondale Ave. for over 20 years. She graduated from Mercy College in 1969 and went on to work for Mercy as a nurse from 1969 until her retirement in 2012.

Harriet married the love of her life, David Crouch, in 1971. They spent 52 years together, raising their daughter, Melissa, who they adopted in 1985. Harriet loved to travel with her family, making many trips to Florida to visit her brother when Melissa was young, and later traveling across the country to the East Coast, Hawaii, and Alaska. She also loved reading, especially mystery novels, as well as crocheting and gardening. She loved flowers, especially bright yellow roses.

Harriet is preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Anna Kryszak; and her brother, Sylvester Kryszak. She is survived by her husband, David Crouch; and daughter, Mellissa Crouch.

Friends and family are invited to visit at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, on Monday, September 11, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
