Harold R. Wolfe

Harold R. Wolfe, 90, of Oregon, died Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Orchard Villa. The son of George M. and Laura M. (Beattie) Wolfe, he was born in Toledo on March 12, 1921. A U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of WWII, he was a business office manager at the Toledo Blade for 44 years. Harold was an officer of the Toledo Transportation Club, a 33rd Degree Mason, and a golfer with the Rossford Eagles. He was a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo and Zenobia Shrine Mariners Unit of the Temple. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Betty A. (Stockwell) Wolfe; children, Char (John) Windsor, Mark Wolfe, Thomas Wolfe, Patrick McNally, Jeffrey (Kim) McNally, Anita (Ken) Prats, Jennifer (Michael) Flamm, Jacqueline (Jordon) Kruse, and Mark Simon; 18 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Marie McNally; daughter-in-law, Lori Wolfe; and brother, Walton Wolfe. The family will receive friends from 2 – 8 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2011 at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave. Funeral services will begin 9:15 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011 with prayers at the funeral home and proceed to St. Thomas Aquinas Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment will be private at Toledo Memorial Park.
