Harold LeGrand Tuttle passed away, peacefully at Lake Park, Sylvania, October 31, 2011 with his family at his side. Harold was born in Crestline, Ohio; graduated from John Marshall High School, Cleveland, OH, and attended The Ohio State University and graduated from the College of Advanced Traffic, Chicago, Illinois. He was a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church for 55 years. He was a true entrepreneur. He founded Transport Equipment, Transport Leasing, and Motor Carrier Service. Harold was a proud 60 year member of The Free Masons. As a Shriner he belonged to the following units: The Highlanders, The Roadrunners, The Hillbillies, and The Campers. He was also active in The Fraternal Order of Elks and Eagles. He was Past Commodore of The Toledo Sailing Club, Past President for District 9 International Order of Blue Gavel, Past President of Sylvania Athletic Boosters, and involved with many trucking industry organizations. Of particular pride in recent years was his participation in local parades with his restored 1947 KB7 International Truck. He truly enjoyed life, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as all those who came in touch with him. Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Bernice and LeGrand Tuttle, and his daughter, Karen Sue Tuttle. Harold was married to his beloved wife, Lois Jean Perkins Tuttle for 62 years. Harold is survived by his wife Lois; sons, Bruce Norma; Keith Kathy; Scott Cindy; and daughter, Laura Frank Figliomeni; Grandchildren Michael Laura Tuttle, Alissa Mike Tambone, Matthew fianc Natalie Baker Tuttle, Mark Tuttle, Eric Figliomeni, Kristin Tuttle, Rachel Figliomeni, Sarah Tuttle, Olivia Tuttle and great-grandchildren, Lyla, June and Carly Tuttle. Friends may call at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave., Sylvania, Ohio 419-841-2422, west of Corey Rd. from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm , Friday, November 4, 2011. Masonic Services will be at 7:30 pm. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday , November 5, 2011 with Father Joseph Keblesh officiating at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 5240 Talmadge Rd., Toledo, OH 43623. Viewing at the church one hour prior to the service.
