Harold L. Skidmore, 87, of Lindsey, OH passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 14, 1932 in Garrison, KY to Lawrence and Edna Tennessee (Hickle) Skidmore. On March 19, 1956 in Garrison, KY he married Mary Marie Johnson, and she survives. Harold worked as a truck driver and factory worker for Webster Industries in Fremont and Tiffin for 25 years, retiring in 1994. He also worked as a roofer in construction prior to that. Harold attended Grace Baptist Church, Oak Harbor. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing Bluegrass music. In addition to this loving wife, Mary, of over 63 years, Harold is survived by his son, Harold R. (Nancy) Skidmore, daughters, Edna Sue Weirich, Joyce A. (Douglas) Hill, and Teresa M. Tesch, 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and sister, Norma J. Phillips. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Maurice H. Skidmore and Bruce E. Skidmore, sisters, Edna Sue Skidmore and Marilyn Fannin, and great granddaughter, Brooklyn Rose Leonhardt. Visitation with strict social distancing guidelines will be held Monday, April 20, 2020 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St. Oak Harbor, OH. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Rick Bickelhaupt 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Grace Baptist Church, 325 Toussaint-Portage Rd., Oak Harbor, OH. The funeral service will be broadcast live on the Walker Funeral Home Facebook page or may be viewed later in the day by visiting www.walkerfuneralhomes.com website under Harold’s obituary page and clicking on View Funeral Service button.
