Harold L. Rooks

Harold Lee Rooks, 71, of Monclova, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 4, 1945 in Toledo to Harold Leroy and Loretta Alma (Neagley) Rooks and he married Carolyn J. Delaney on September 4, 1965 in Holland, Ohio. Harold was a graduate of Springfield High School and he later worked for S.E. Johnson and Rudolf Libbe. He was also a member of The Operating Engineers Local 18 for nearly 50 years. Harold loved to hunt, fish and raise his Whitetail Deer. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Rooks; daughters, Jane Rooks and Cathy Crippen; grandsons, Joseph Miller (Erica Neyrinck) and Samuel Miller (Samantha Bennett); granddaughters, Mari Crippen and Shelby Crippen. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Loretta, and brothers, George Rooks and Robert Rooks. Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. in Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio 43528 (419-865-8879) where funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Springfield Township Cemetery. The family would like to thank Marki Haack and Steven Hawkins for all of the help and support during this difficult time.
