Harold C. Lewis, 97, of Oak Harbor and formerly Eastpointe, MI, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. He was born on August 30, 1914 in New Haven, WV to Francis C. and Myrtle A. Bumgarner Lewis. Harold served in the U.S. Army 10th Infantry at Fort Thomas in Kentucky from 1935-1937. He worked as a security supervisor for the Chrysler Corporation in Detroit, MI for 37 years, retiring in 1977. Harold was a life member of the Composite Lodge #499 F&AM in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, member of the Scottish Rite Lodge Council Chapter Consistory Valley of Toledo, Zenobia Temple Shrine, Toledo, Ottawa County Shrine, Oak Harbor, Elks Lodge #1718, Port Clinton, Moose Lodge #1610, Port Clinton, and the former Port Clinton Golf Club. Harold is survived by his son: Gary C. Kathy Lewis of Detroit, MI, daughter: Linda J. Meeker of St. Clair Shores, MI, step-daughter: Kathryn A. David Ellis of Toledo, OH, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife: Lucille M. Roush Lewis in 1984, 2nd wife: Kathryn June Zoschke Lewis in 2005, step-daughter: Diana S. Reuss, brother: Donald W. Lewis, and sisters: Anna Kirby and Helen Castner. Friends may call and visit with Harolds family on Saturday, May 26, 2012 from 2-5 p.m. at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St. Oak Harbor, with a Celebration of Life Tribute Service to follow at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Harold may be given to Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor.
