Harold F. Kardatzke

Harold F. Kardatzke, 87, of Oak Harbor died Monday, February 24, 2014 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. He was born on April 29, 1926 in Oak Harbor to Frank and Grace Schiller Kardatzke. On December 16, 1961 in Genoa, OH he married Mabel E. Fiebelkorn, and she preceded him in death on January 13, 2014. Harold was a lifetime livestock farmer. He was a member of the Oak Harbor United Methodist Church and the Ottawa County Farm Bureau . Harold enjoyed gardening and raising cattle and in his younger years he enjoyed horseback riding, golfing, boy scouting, and 4-H. Harold is survived by his son: Howard Michelle Groll and her children, Kyle and Jacob Kardatzke of Oak Harbor, daughter: Lisa Molnar of Port Clinton, nieces nephews: William and Greg Phelan both of Colorado, and dear family friend: Diana Mark Weiker of Green Springs, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister: Faye Phelan, and brothers: Gaylord and Richard Kardatzke. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor with visitation one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in Elliston Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Harold may be given to the Oak Harbor United Methodist Church, the Ottawa County 4-H Endowment, or Riverview Healthcare Campus Auxiliary.
