Harold Hal Harman

Harold “Hal” Joseph Harman passed away unexpectedly on February 12, 2017 in Toledo, Ohio at the age of 59. Hal was born on October 13, 1957 in Toledo, Ohio to Patricia and Richard Harman. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1975 and attended the University of Toledo where he played football for two seasons. He married his high school sweetheart Cindi (Bartaldo) in 1977. Hal had a great passion for coaching youth sports, landscaping, cooking, and watching the Detroit Tigers. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his young grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all. Hal is survived by his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Cindi; sons Andrew (Amy) Harman of Dublin, OH and Brian (Katie) Harman of Sylvania, OH, daughter Caitlin (Andrew) Slattery of Sylvania, OH; five grandchildren Hadley, Griffin, Henry, Quinn, and Cooper; mother Patricia Harman; brothers Richard II (Sally) Harman, Kevin (Denise) Harman, and Timothy, sisters Marcia (Matt) Koehler, and Kathleen (Chris) Bogucki; father-in-law and mother-in-law Carl and Rosetta Bartaldo; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Bruce and Mary Jane Roberts; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Harman, of Toledo, OH. A funeral is scheduled for 10am on February 16, 2017 at Blessed Sacrament Church located at 2240 Castlewood Dr. Toledo, OH 43613. Visitation will be held from 2pm to 8pm on February 15, 2017 at Walker Funeral Home located at 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. Toledo, OH 43623. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Hal’s life.
