Harold Ray Geer, age 84, a native and lifelong resident of Toledo, died February 13, 2022, after a brief illness. He was born August 24, 1937, to the late Phillip E. and Vera B. (Lewis) Geer. Harold attended Whitmer High School and went on to work as an assembler at Chrysler/Jeep for more than 31 years. Extremely dependable and hardworking, he missed only two days of work in his entire career. Harold married Delcie M. Birr on May 27, 1958, and they shared nearly 64 years of wonderful marriage together.
Harold loved the outdoors especially fishing. He was a woodworker, liked to play the lottery in all its forms, enjoyed watching Swamp People on TV, traveling to Florida and day trips. He found his greatest joy in time spent with family and his beloved dog, Snoozer. He also loved Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, drinking coffee, and visiting his favorite restaurant, the Cracker Barrel. Harold will be lovingly remembered for his terrific sense of humor, including his jokes and funny noises, and for the smile he offered to everyone he met.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Delcie; children, Harold Jr. (Cindy), Bradley (Karen), David (Kim) and Sharon (John); grandkids, Jeff and Jason North, Angie Wells, Joshua Geer, Sarah Grabarczyk, Matthew and Allison Grabarczyk, Abigail, Rebekah, Stephen, and Adam Geer, Leah Keith, John Weisend III, and Tabetha Sosnowicz; and twenty great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Harold was also preceded in death by sisters, Delores, Loretta, and Vivian.
