Harold A. Garno Harold A. Garno, 93, of Toledo, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Swan Creek Health Care Center. He was born on February 7, 1921 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Abe and Helen (Johnson) Garno and he married Marcella “Sally” Clymer on September 14, 1941 in North Baltimore, Ohio. Hal was a member of Faith Community Church and the Toledo Masonic Lodge. He worked for LeFebure Banking for over 35 years as a sales representative, designing the bank interiors. Hal was named to the company’s Million Dollar Sales Club. He enjoyed fishing and boating as well as dancing. He could often be found at his family’s cottage in Jackson, Michigan where he enjoyed playing cards and being with friends and family or out on his boat fishing. Hal is survived by his sister, Dorthea Holbein; his loving children, Douglas (Joan) Garno, and Sharon (Charles) Ogren; grandchildren, Jana Ogren-Gerity, Steve (Pam) Ogren and Trent (Tammy) Garno; great grandchildren, Emily (Troy), Christopher, Jordan, Hannah and Bailey; and nephews, Rick (Julie) and Gary (Debbie) . He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Marcella. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Swan Creek Health Care Center, Reed Chapel, 5916 Cresthaven Lane, Toledo, Ohio 43614. Interment will be private. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider, Swan Creek or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
